Good morning Reader,

One of the most important lessons on my financial journey has been learning how to forgive myself.

There was a season where I carried a lot of regret about where I was financially. And when things weren't moving the way I thought they should, that regret got heavy. What I had to remind myself — and what I want to remind you today — is this: it takes time to get into a situation, and it takes time to get out. And those two timelines are rarely the same.

Regret is paralyzing if you let it be. This verse taught me that. I cannot go back and change a single decision. So at some point, I had to choose — stay stuck in what I wish I had done differently, or lift my eyes and move forward. Choosing to move forward changed everything.

Here's where I want to meet you today:

If you feel like this year has been a flop — stop right there. We are not even in the second half yet, and there is still plenty of time to turn things around. The window is not closed. If you feel like you've been doing well — that's worth celebrating. And it's also a reminder to stay focused so you can sustain what you've built.

Either way, today is a good day to let go of what's behind you and step into what's ahead.

This week, instead of our usual shorter prayer, I want to share the prayer I gave my clients as they reflect on the year and prepare to finish strong. If you know someone who needs this today, please pass it along.

Prayer of the Week​
Dear God, thank you for allowing me to make it this far in the year. I'm grateful for the lessons I'm learning, and I pray that I have the courage to apply them. Lord, help me to forgive myself for the decisions that were not in my best interest, and give me the strength to move forward.

As I step into the second half of this year, I'm grateful that you have already gone before me and prepared the way. Give me the wisdom I need today to see this year as successful on December 31st — not by my definition, but by yours. Continue to shape and mold me into the image you designed me to be. In Jesus' name, Amen.
