I help Christians reduce their financial stress by improving their relationship with money. It is at that point they are able to make better decisions daily so they can live the best version of their life.
Hebrews 12:11 NewsletterGood morning Reader, This is what I have observed to be good: that it is appropriate for a person to eat, to drink and to find satisfaction in their toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given them—for this is their lot. Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. - Ecclesiastes 5:18-19 NIV I have some good news for you. It is okay for you to enjoy your life. Let me say that again—because some of us have convinced ourselves otherwise. It is okay for you to enjoy your life. Many of us believe we can’t enjoy life until everything is perfect financially. Like we have to reach a certain number, pay everything off, and then we’ll finally be able to breathe. But that’s not how this works. God doesn’t just meet us at the finish line. He walks with us—and grows us—along the way. We are going from glory to glory. That means each step forward matters. Each level of discipline matters. Each decision to do better with what we have matters. And with that growth comes new capacity… not just to manage money better, but to experience life differently. When we talk about stewardship, we often focus on discipline, sacrifice, and doing the right thing with our money. And yes, those things matter. But there’s something on the other side of that work that we don’t talk about enough. Enjoyment. Peace. When I first started my journey, fun wasn’t even on my radar. I just wanted to stop feeling stressed every two weeks before payday. That was the goal. But as I grew, something changed. Not overnight—but over time. I still remember when I bought my 65” TV. I’m actually looking at it right now. I love sports, and I was excited to enjoy something I cared about. Back then, that purchase was a big deal for me. But what mattered most wasn’t just the TV—it was who I had become in the process. I had grown. I had more discipline. More awareness. More control. And because of that, I could enjoy it—without guilt. That’s what this scripture is reminding us. The ability to enjoy what God has given you is a gift. Not just the possession… but the capacity to enjoy it. And that capacity grows as you grow. Now, let’s be honest. This takes time. But your effort is not in vain. God is developing you in this season. And as He elevates you, you’ll notice that what you can handle—and what you can enjoy—starts to change too. So don’t wait until everything is perfect to enjoy your life. There is something good in this season, too.
