And if one falls down, the other helps, But if there’s no one to help, tough! Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 MSG Have you ever tried to play tug of war by yourself? It’s you on one side… and five strong people on the other. It doesn’t make sense, right? You already know how that ends. When we play tug of war, we want help. We look for strong people to stand with us. Everyone gets in position, feet planted, pulling together with everything they have. That’s how you win. But in real life, we don’t always do that. Sometimes we convince ourselves we can handle everything on our own. We stay quiet. We carry the weight alone. And before we realize it, we’re worn down and struggling to stand. Scripture reminds us that we were never meant to do life alone. Having support is an advantage, not a weakness. When we isolate ourselves, we make things harder than they need to be. If you’re struggling in any area of your life right now, this is your reminder: you don’t have to do it by yourself. Ask for help. There are people in your life who are willing to support you—but you have to let them in. And if you’re not sure who to turn to, ask God to show you.
