1. Are all household bills paid?
2. Do I have any obligations to account for? (Kids' events, family outings, organization commitments)
3. Have I set money aside for the next season? (Holidays, planned vacations, and so on)

This isn't saying you can't enjoy your money. It's saying you'll enjoy it even more when you're not worrying about regret later.
