I help Christians reduce their financial stress by improving their relationship with money. It is at that point they are able to make better decisions daily so they can live the best version of their life.
Hebrews 12:11 NewsletterGood morning Reader, Here's the truth — the last 20+ years of my life have been a real roller coaster. Good moments, bad moments, and some decisions I'm not proud of. But through all of it, God's word is what kept me going. So for the next 12 weeks, I'm taking you on a journey. Each week, I'll share one of my favorite verses — matched with a real moment from my life. Some stories you may have heard before. Some you haven't. But my prayer is that through these 12 weeks, you'll learn more about me and more about yourself. Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in your instructions. - Psalms 119:18 NLT Can you imagine sitting at your desk and finding out you wasted $500 in overdraft fees? That was me — at my work-study job, staring at the numbers, realizing I had been giving the bank free money. I went looking for that information on purpose. I wanted to know why I was broke. Why I was struggling. But honestly? It was scary to look. The verse says "open my eyes to see." And it calls those things wonderful truths. But I'll be real — it did not feel wonderful in that moment. Have you ever discovered something hard about your finances? A bad investment. A purchase you regret. A number you were afraid to look at? Here's what I've learned: truth isn't good or bad. It's just facts. And you need the facts about your financial health if you want to move forward. Facing the truth may not feel good — but it is wonderful, if you let it push you toward better decisions. That $500 in overdraft fees opened my eyes. And at every stage of my financial life, I've had to face something hard about myself in order to grow. Don't run from it. There is something better waiting on the other side — if you're willing to look. And I know that to be true, because I'm living it. I'm writing this email to you right now — and I never would have imagined that in that moment at my work-study job. But here we are. It's been so long, I don't even remember my last overdraft fee. That moment didn't break me. It built me. That can be your story too.
