I help Christians families move from working silos to working together on their finances so they can reduce stress, build wealth, and gain financial freedom.
Hebrews 12:11 NewsletterGood morning Reader, This year, I went through a lot of physical therapy. By the time I finished my appointments, my pain was small. But lately, it has slowly crept back. Here’s the hard truth: I will never be 100% again. From here on out, my goal is to keep the pain low. And the biggest lesson I’ve learned is this: when I stop being consistent, the pain returns. Your money works the same way. Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. -2 Corinthians 9:6 NLT Paul wrote these words about giving, but the principle reaches every part of your finances. A harvest only comes when you keep planting. Maybe you’ve reached your money goals, and you feel like you can finally relax. That’s worth celebrating. But you still have to plant seeds of wise decisions. Maybe you and your spouse don’t argue about money anymore. Praise God! But you still have to plant seeds of honest, regular conversations. Maybe you’ve stopped overspending on shopping. That’s real progress. But that win stays a win only if you keep checking your spending each week. The success you have today came from two things: the work it took to get here and the work it takes to stay here. Peace isn’t a one-time prize. You protect it by practicing it every day. What if one couple hits their savings goal and stops their weekly money check-ins? A few months later, small purchases pile up, the old tension comes back, and they wonder how they slid so far so fast. Now, what if another couple keeps their 10-minute Sunday check-in, even when things feel easy? Their peace doesn’t fade. It grows. So I went back to my exercises. Just five minutes a day, and my pain eased up. Five minutes is what keeps me out of serious pain. What about you? What small thing can you do every day or every week to protect the peace you’ve built? That’s your seed. A farmer has to plant every season to get a harvest. So do we. Reflection Question: What can you do consistently to keep the peace you’ve created? Remember, what you do consistently is shaping the life you’re living today. Consistency is easier when you’re not doing it alone. Forward this email to your spouse or a friend, and share one seed you’ll each plant this week. Prayer of the Week: Dear God, help me never forget how you carried me through hard seasons. Teach me to stay faithful and grateful, even when those seasons feel far away. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
