Play to Your Strengths | Payday Tip

Hebrews 12:11 Newsletter

Good morning Reader,

Remember when I shared that my husband and I didn’t know how to talk about money early in our marriage? Part of the struggle was understanding each other’s strengths.

So here’s my question for you this payday: Do you know your money strengths and weaknesses?

Here’s what that can look like:

  • One person is great at organizing and paying the bills.
  • The other is great at knowing what’s in the pantry when it’s time to make the grocery list.
  • Neither one is better. You just have different strengths.

God didn’t give you every gift, and He never meant for you to carry everything alone. Sometimes the best move is to let go of the things you don’t do well and let someone else handle them.p forcing a plan that fit who we used to be.

This payday, try this:

  • Write down your regular money tasks (bills, groceries, savings, checking the budget).
  • Mark each one as a strength or a struggle.
  • Hand off at least one struggle to the person who does it better.

If you’re single, you don’t have to do it all alone either. Ask a trusted friend to check in with you, or use AI to help you organize your bills or build your grocery list.

When each person owns what they do best, payday stops feeling like a fight. It starts feeling like teamwork.

Don’t let your weaknesses hold you back. Find a way to get things done that lowers your stress.

Have a great weekend,
