Keeping Wisdom Close | Monday Push

Hebrews 12:11 Newsletter

Hello Reader,

Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” Proverbs 7:4 NIV

Do not let your heart turn to her ways or stray into her paths. - Proverbs 7:25 NIV

The older I get, the more I value my family and friends. As a child, I saw my siblings and cousins daily. In college, I spent time with friends almost every day. Now, as an adult, it feels like solving a calculus problem just to gather with the people I love. But because those relationships matter, I do the work to stay connected.

Wisdom is like that too. Proverbs tells us to treat wisdom like family—something we keep close and consistent in our lives. Understanding is like a trusted relative. When we value wisdom and insight this way, we protect ourselves from straying down dangerous paths.

Reflection Question:
What relationship in your life reminds you of the closeness you should also pursue with wisdom?

Faith in Action:
Take 5 minutes this week to journal about how you can keep wisdom close in your daily decisions.

Prayer of the Week
Dear God, Thank You for the wisdom You’ve already placed in my life. Help me to treat wisdom as a trusted friend and keep it close to my heart. Remind me not only to hear wisdom but to understand it and live it out daily. Guide my steps so I walk in Your truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Have a good week,

I help Christians reduce their financial stress by improving their relationship with money. It is at that point they are able to make better decisions daily so they can live the best version of their life.
