I remember this day clearly.
It was April 2007 — the week of my friend’s 21st birthday. We laughed, celebrated, and took pictures. But what they didn’t know was that I was struggling behind the scenes.
As a college student, I had two apartments in my name and not enough wisdom to manage either. I slept in an empty apartment with no furniture and rented furniture for one week to hide the truth from my parents. That was one of my lowest moments. I never wanted to experience that kind of financial stress again.
That summer, I sat in my accounting class with tears in my eyes and a decision in my heart:
“One day, I’m going to help people avoid this kind of struggle.”
Hi, I’m Latrisa Pugh Griffin, founder of Pugh Financial Coaching.
I’ve made the financial mistakes. I’ve lived through the overwhelm. And by God’s grace, I’ve grown into someone who now teaches others how to move forward with strategy — not shame.
Today, I’m a financial coach and educator with a master’s degree in financial planning and over a decade of experience helping individuals and families move from surviving to stewarding.
This journey hasn’t been about perfection — but it’s been full of progress, prayer, and purpose.
Here’s the truth:
Most people don’t save because they don’t have a strategy.
They have information — even good intentions — but no plan.
They’ve heard things like “save $1,000” or “save 3–6 months of expenses,” but no one talks about how to connect those dots or what those numbers actually mean for their situation.
That’s what this workshop is about: building a savings strategy that makes sense for YOUR life.
In this workshop, I’ll guide you through a strategic approach to saving — one that will help you:
✔ Understand the role of savings in your overall financial plan
✔ Identify the key categories that shape your savings goals
✔ Clarify how your savings strategy fits into your budget and your values
✔ Build a foundation of peace, not pressure
This isn’t a checklist. It’s a conversation.
A chance to reset your expectations, rethink what saving really means, and start fresh — without the fear of falling behind.
This workshop is designed to help you:
✅ Set financial priorities that reflect your values
✅ Build margin without guilt or guessing
✅ Lead your household with wisdom and confidence
Your strategy should reflect more than a rule of thumb.
It should reflect your real life — and where God is leading you next.
If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start saving with intention,
